How long will it take to get my blanket?

Part of the charm of Boogie Baby blankets is the fact that they are handmade. Our designs are hand-traced and cut by hand, and we give a lot of attention to the special requests made for each blanket. As a result, it generally takes four to six weeks for an order to be completed. Refer to our production-time estimate at the top of every ordering page for the most up-to-date production schedule. While we try our best to provide an accurate estimate for the production time, please bear in mind that all timing is approximate.

Ordering a blanket as a gift? Request a gift notification card and we’ll send a note out right away letting the family know that something fabulous is in the works!

Is there any way to expedite my order?

We do not currently offer an option for expediting orders. We do, however, have a number of fabulous stores who stock our blankets, if you are looking for something unpersonalized. Please refer to our directory of retailers to find one near you.

How should I care for my blanket?

All of our blankets are machine washable and safe to put in the dryer. To keep your blanket looking like new, we recommend washing it on the gentlest cycle, tumble drying on low and removing promptly when dry.

What’s the difference between the fabrics? Which one is the softest?

When customizing your blanket, you can choose between our minki, silky and curly microfiber fabrics. They’re all incredibly soft, but quite different in texture. Minki is a smooth, flat fabric that feels similar to velour. Of our three fabrics, it will withstand wear and tear the best. That’s why we recommend it for our bibs, for the outside of our hooded towels and for blankets that are anticipated to get a lot of love!

Our silky fabric has the same general feel of minki but features longer fibers, making it very similar to the feel of a plush stuffed animal. This is a great texture for making elements of a design “pop off” the blanket or feel true to life (like our teddy bear and dog designs). Our curly fabric consists of individual curls of fabric, which feel similar to a faux fur. We love to use this texture on our sheep characters!

What are my options for customizing a blanket?

When designing your blanket, select the fabrics and colors for the front of the blanket (where the design is featured), the back of the blanket and the border. Also select your border type, including ruffle, fringe (1” tabs) or flange (like a picture frame).

Have a real eye for detail? Feel free to customize colors and fabrics for the design, too, by submitting special requests right down to the last detail (e.g., “Please make the car red with black wheels”). And add an extra personal touch by requesting a specific hair color (baby yellow, bright yellow, red, cappuccino, mink or black) for our kiddie character designs.

Please note that there is no “standard” when it comes to our designs, so if you want your design to feature certain colors/fabrics or appear exactly as it’s shown on one of our sample blankets, please share that information with us upon ordering. Otherwise, there may be slight variations in the colors and fabrics we use.

Can I order a custom design if I don’t see exactly what I’m looking for?

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate requests for custom designs, nor are we able to modify any of our existing designs.

Can I see what my blanket is going to look like before I order it?

We are able to provide mock-ups upon request. Please email for more information.

What is your exchange/return policy?

Because of the custom-nature of our business, we are not able to accept returns or exchanges. That’s why we strongly urge all of our customers to review their orders carefully prior to submission, and we do offer a 24-hour window for any order changes.

We stand by the quality of all of our products and offer a 90-day money-back guarantee against defects in material or workmanship.

Can I add or change a name on a blanket that I already own?

Unfortunately, the manner in which we make our blankets does not allow us to add or change personalization after it’s completed.

Do you gift wrap?

While we do not offer traditional gift wrap, all gift orders come wrapped in branded poly bag. We do not include receipts or promotional materials in our packaging.

What are my options for shipping?

We standardly ship via UPS. You will receive an automated email containing your tracking information when your order is ready to ship. Please note that tracking is the responsibility of the customer.
